Story, without spoilers
Years after the civil war, Amal and Samir head out to celebrate their twentieth wedding anniversary. Their conversations expose different ways of living with disappointment. Elsewhere, their son Fahim spends the evening with Feriel and Reda, negotiating the possibilities and restrictions of their own generation.

Sofia Djama’s first feature connects intimate relationships with the conflict’s continuing aftermath. She gives Algiers a central place in the film, using its streets, interiors and sounds to distinguish the experiences of different generations.
