Story, without spoilers
Nasser and Waleed are travelling to a wedding when news of the grandfather’s grave illness changes their destination. In Nasser’s rural hometown, their strained relationship becomes harder to avoid. A missing child adds unease to the village, while the father’s efforts to reconnect increasingly collide with his son’s resistance to being controlled.

Abdulmohsen Aldhabaan’s 2019 debut feature uses a family visit to examine inherited expectations. Filmed in Na’ajan, south of Riyadh, it premiered in Karlovy Vary’s East of the West competition.
