Story, without spoilers
Darwish, a chauffeur distracted by love, collects the wrong passenger: a retired crime boss. Fayadh, a mechanic who has become the taxi company's chief executive, is drawn into the same crisis. With gang members demanding the old man's return, a routine job becomes an increasingly precarious attempt to keep control of events.
Context & recognition
Malik Nejer's Saudi comedy uses mistaken identity to connect ordinary workplace trouble with organised crime. The fictional setting of Bathaikha gives this encounter its own world, while the two colleagues' incompatible temperaments supply the central comic tension.
