Story, without spoilers
Journalism students Yassmine, Walid and Bilel investigate an old case involving Mongia, a woman who survived a brutal attack and now lives in a psychiatric institution. Their research leads to a remote rural settlement. What begins as an assignment gradually becomes a threatening encounter with its inhabitants.
Context & recognition
Abdelhamid Bouchnak’s first feature closed Venice Critics’ Week in 2018 as a special event. The horror story turns the students’ search for an exclusive report into an exploration of isolation, suspicion and vulnerability.
